Help

Answers for common PDFWhirl workflows.

Find how uploads, jobs, downloads, and protected routes behave.

Do I need an account to use a public tool?

No. The gateway supports anonymous guest requests for currently listed public tools. An account provides a distinct identity and account job history.

How are files handled?

Files are uploaded through the API, processed by tool workers, and downloaded through short-lived signed URLs returned by the file service.

What happens after I start a tool?

The frontend creates a job, polls the job API until a terminal state, then requests signed download URLs for every output file.

Why is a tool I saw before no longer listed?

The public catalog shows only workflows whose frontend, API route, and production worker path have been reviewed together. Development and infrastructure-dependent tools are hidden until they are ready.
